Lead Electrical Engineer

Job description

Responsible for electrical works to ensure conformance with contract documents and procedures manual. Monitor electrical works for compliance. Review, approve and process all ELV and IT technical submittals. Prepare preliminary RFI answers related to electrical works. Coordinate and supervise pre‑installation electrical activities. Review contractor’s electrical change order proposals and recommend to Senior Electrical Engineer. Liaise with necessary sub‑consultants. Assist in reviewing contractor’s electrical claims and prepare recommendations. Inspect completed works and monitor start‑up, testing, commissioning and handover. Prepare sign‑off package for completed electrical works for Senior Electrical Engineer. Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum 14 years experience as Electrical/ELV Engineer
• 3‑5 years construction administration experience in the Middle East
• strong technical background on electrical works
• proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• excellent understanding of specifications
• good understanding of authority requirements
• complete project understanding from start to hand‑over
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• good oral and written communication skills
• knowledge/experience in AutoCAD
• ability to review and comment on necessary documentation
