Google Cloud Data Engineer

Job description

Key role in designing and implementing data pipelines using Google Cloud technologies. Responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing pipelines with Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and other GCP services. Implement data lakes and warehouses using BigQuery to ensure efficient storage, retrieval, and processing. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Monitor pipeline performance, apply optimizations, and troubleshoot issues. Ensure data quality through validation routines and profiling techniques. Document data architecture, ETL processes, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing. Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data engineering and GCP. Participate in enhancing data governance and management practices

Requirements

• Proficient in designing and implementing data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow, BigQuery, and related tools
• Experience with real-time data processing using Apache Beam and Google Cloud Pub/Sub
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques to present data insights effectively
• SQL databases
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science or related field
• 3+ years experience in data engineering with focus on Google Cloud Platform
• strong SQL skills and experience in data modeling and data warehousing concepts
• proficient in Python or Java for data processing tasks
• ability to work with various data sources including structured and unstructured data
• strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
