Cloud Security Engineer - Google Cloud

Job description

Responsible for strengthening the cloud security framework and protecting critical systems and data on Google Cloud Platform. Designs, implements and manages security controls and procedures for GCP services; conducts risk assessments and security reviews to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation; monitors and analyzes security alerts and incidents across the cloud environment; develops and applies security policies, standards and best practices for cloud operations; implements identity and access management policies to control access to GCP resources; performs periodic security assessments and collaborates with development teams to ensure secure coding; stays updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities and cloud security trends; provides security training and awareness for engineering teams; works with incident response teams to investigate and respond to incidents; maintains documentation of security policies, engineering and processes related to GCP

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, frameworks, and compliance
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and tools
• Proficient in Excel
• Proficient in Python
• Knowledge of Google Cloud
• Knowledge of cybersecurity
• Experience with penetration testing
