Subject Matter Expert - Data Regulations & Licensing (3-Month Contract)

Job description

Supports a strategic government initiative in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Provides advisory, designs, and develops comprehensive data policies and regulations aligned with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and international standards. Develops data product licensing frameworks and operating models. Drafts, reviews, and validates data-related policy and regulatory documents. Aligns documentation with PDPL, SAMA, NCA, and other compliance frameworks. Supports design of certification roadmaps such as ISO 27001 and ISO 27701. Conducts stakeholder workshops and offers expert guidance to policy and data governance teams

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data governance or regulatory consulting
• strong knowledge of Saudi PDPL
• strong knowledge of international data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA)
• strong knowledge of certification frameworks
• experience with AWS cloud
• experience in compliance
• experience with personal data protection systems
