Network Engineer

Job description

Design, implement and manage network solutions to support business operations and optimize performance. Design LAN, WAN and wireless networks, configure and manage routers, switches and firewalls. Monitor network performance and stability, identify improvement areas and troubleshoot issues. Develop and enforce network security protocols to protect data and infrastructure. Collaborate with IT teams to assess network needs and upgrade components. Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations, standards and procedures. Stay updated on emerging networking technologies and trends to enhance operations

Requirements

• Experience with network-related equipment, including sniffers and network monitoring tools
• Operating and troubleshooting experience with Cisco switches: 6500, 4500, 3750, 3560, 2960
• Technical knowledge of VLAN, VTP, Trunk (802.1q), Spanning Tree
• Experience with BGP, EIGRP, ISIS
• CCNA, CCNP or equivalent certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in network engineering.
