UI/UX Specialist

Job description

The specialist designs and continuously improves user experiences across IT services at KAUST. Defines and maintains UI/UX principles and guidelines. Reviews interfaces for alignment with standards and provides feedback. Conducts user research (interviews, surveys, observations) and translates insights into personas, journey maps, and recommendations. Designs intuitive interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows. Performs usability testing and iterates solutions. Collaborates with service owners, developers, and analysts to ensure user‑centered design. Ensures compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2), branding guidelines, and design systems. Provides feedback to maintain quality and consistency. Facilitates workshops and co‑design sessions with stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of human-centered design principles
• usability heuristics
• accessibility standards
• proficiency with Excel
• proficiency with Git
• proficiency with graphic design
• proficiency with Figma
• attention to detail
• 5+ years experience in UI/UX design, user research, or usability evaluation
