Maintenance Supervisor

Job description

Supervise daily maintenance activities and ensure systems and facilities operate efficiently and safely. Key duties include supervising the maintenance team and assigning tasks based on priorities and staff availability; implementing and monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems; responding quickly to emergency issues and coordinating effective solutions; ensuring maintenance work meets quality, efficiency, and safety standards; managing inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials and requesting purchases as needed; maintaining accurate records and generating regular reports on maintenance activities and equipment status; liaising with other departments to plan maintenance with minimal operational disruption; overseeing supplier and service provider relationships and coordinating external maintenance jobs; reviewing and comparing supplier quotations for cost‑effective purchasing; negotiating pricing and terms with vendors; monitoring technician performance and providing training and support to enhance skills and productivity; enforcing compliance with safety procedures and company policies during all maintenance work

Requirements

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices for electrical and plumbing materials and spare parts
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role

• Solid understanding of local supplier networks and market pricing for common materials
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot issues
• Commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance practices
