Data Modeling Manager

Job description

The Data Modeling Manager is responsible for designing and implementing data models incorporating all centralized information from the CDU team. This includes cost data from Prism, time data from Primavera P6, risk data from Arm, metadata from Aconex related to documents and report content, and various spreadsheets and databases implemented by the employer, utilizing Microsoft Office and Excel. The role involves taking the existing model in PowerBI and enhancing its capabilities, accessibility, and scope of analysis to meet the needs of the the employer development division. Key responsibilities include enhancing the data model strategy covering development analysis and reporting requirements, and ensuring clear requirements are provided to data owners regarding data tagging for model incorporation. The position manages the data modeling team consisting of an AI modeling expert, an LLM modeling expert, and a database technician, assigning tasks to achieve desired outcomes. Additionally, the role advises the Data Modeling and Performance & Analytics Director on best practices, collaborates with the Data Office to ensure proper data and report governance, implements software solutions, develops automated workflows, liaises with internal stakeholders, supports team development, and delivers outcomes within large organizational structures

Requirements

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
• Degree educated in information services and/or data analytics
• Established experience of working as part of an owner’s team on solutions for large and complex organizations
• Experience with systems development and implementing software solutions into established working environments
• Experienced with the integration of existing software packages
• Development of workflow and automated processes to enhance data capturing routines
• Intra-organization stakeholder experience liaising with individuals of various experience and authority levels
• Ability to understand technical solutions and communicate how they solve problems
• Capability in team support, individual performance assessment, and development
• Proven effective delivery within large organizational structures
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
