Senior Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis

Job description

The Senior Manager leads project controls and financial governance across assigned projects or portfolios. Ensures robust oversight of contracts, budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting. Provides strategic financial insight, strengthens control frameworks, and supports senior leadership in decision‑making. Manages contract variations, change orders, and time/cost claim extensions with proper evaluation, documentation, approvals, and reporting. Oversees utilization of contingencies and provisional sums for disciplined budget control aligned with approved business cases. Directs cost monitoring, forecasting, and variance analysis, delivering mitigation strategies to senior management. Ensures data integrity and reconciliation across SAP, Primavera P6, Unifier, BIM, and related systems. Oversees monthly accrual reviews and financial close activities for accuracy and compliance. Provides high‑level oversight of schedule changes and integrated cost/schedule impacts. Leads risk and opportunity reviews, ensuring timely identification, assessment, and escalation of key exposures. Acts as senior liaison between Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams to ensure transparency and alignment. Mentors project controls teams, promoting governance, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• proficient in SAP
• compliance
• professional project management certification
• experience with Primavera P6
• experience with Unifier
• experience with SAP project module
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Certificate in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution – RICS preferred
• PMP certification preferred
• 8+ years experience in Project Controls or Development Finance
