Project Construction Director

Job description

The role of Project Construction Director at the employer involves overseeing projects from the PMO level through pre- and post-contract award phases in Riyadh. Responsibilities include coordinating a masterplan for executive commercial, planning and risk reporting within a matrix PMO structure, ensuring controlled delivery, recommending commercial strategies, providing accurate status reports to enable timely decisions, preventing schedule slippage and cost overruns, and producing comprehensive close‑out reports for each project

Requirements

• minimum of 15 years experience in project and construction management
• ability to manage complex projects from pre‑contract to post‑contract stages
• experience operating within a matrix PMO organization
• proficiency in developing and governing standard reporting formats for quality, commercial, planning and safety
• proficiency in validating earned progress against baseline schedules and preparing cost reports
• proficiency in preparing annual program budgets and monthly cashflow reports
• proficiency in developing value engineering proposals and value‑adding initiatives
• proficiency in identifying and reporting scope risks
• proficiency in forecasting milestone completion with planners
• proficiency in supporting portfolio‑wide risk management services
• proficiency in stakeholder identification, analysis and engagement planning
• proficiency in managing the Approvals Register
• proficiency in identifying health, safety, environmental and quality compliance risks and preparing mitigation plans
• proficiency in reporting risks and developing mitigation strategies for project completion, handover certificates and defect closure
• proficiency in coordinating operational readiness, asset transfer and defects liability period
• proficiency in facilitating knowledge transfer to the client and PMCs
