Job description

Integrating environmental and sustainable measures into various projects to conserve natural resources and sites. Work with other engineers to design pollution protection strategies and deploy health measures. Profession Overview: Environmental engineers integrate environmental and sustainable measures into the development of projects of a different nature. They seek to preserve natural resources and natural sites. They work together with engineers from other fields to conceptualize all the impacts that projects might have in order to design methods to preserve nature reserves, prevent pollution and deploy health measures. The usual tasks of this profession: • Identify sources of pollution and types of pollutants (gaseous, the employer, and solid), study the risks of pollutants and their effects on humans and the environment, and determine safe concentrations of pollutants. • Conducting studies related to the disposal of domestic and industrial wastewater, preparing disposal plans and following up on their implementation. • Managing solid waste disposal activities, and monitoring and following up on recycling activities. • Developing work methods and procedures and keeping pace with technical developments. • Prepare documents and reports specialized in engineering works and projects and their progress rates, display them, clarify them, and save them in their database in accordance with approved policies and procedures

Requirements

• Experience in complying with regulations relating to prohibited substances
• Experience in conducting environmental surveys
• Experience in developing environmental remedial strategies
