Project Manager - Railway Safety & O&M

Job description

The Project Manager leads railway safety and inspection activities for key projects across Saudi Arabia. Conducts scheduled supervisory visits and technical inspections at major projects such as Haramain High-Speed Railway, Riyadh Metro, and the employer Rail. Leads on‑site investigations immediately after railway accidents or incidents. Prepares detailed monitoring and investigation reports within prescribed timelines, typically within two weeks. Reviews, updates, and contributes to policies, regulations, and procedural documents as requested by regulatory authorities. Participates in meetings with railway operators and government transport authorities, both remotely and in person. Verifies operator compliance with safety certifications, operating licenses, and regulatory requirements during inspections. Provides continuous technical support and responds promptly to Authority staff queries between site visits. Ensures all inspection and investigation activities strictly comply with official safety standards and protocols

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with railway operation, maintenance protocols, and safety standards
• Strong knowledge of international best practices for railway safety and inspection

• Minimum of 20 years experience in railway systems, safety, operation, and maintenance (O&M)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related technical field
• Master’s degree preferred
• Proven experience conducting technical investigations of railway accidents or incidents
• Prior experience working on railway projects in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries highly desirable
