BMC Helix Developer (Remote)

Job description

The role involves creating, configuring, and customizing Helix environments to meet business needs. Works closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop efficient solutions. Designs, develops, and maintains applications on the Helix platform. Implements and customizes Helix features in line with requirements. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to gather and analyze project requirements. Writes clean, maintainable code following best practices. Troubleshoots and debugs existing applications to optimize performance. Participates in code reviews and provides constructive feedback. Stays updated with the latest Helix developments and industry trends

Requirements

• Experience with relevant programming languages
• Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc) and experience with writing complex queries
• Experience with application development frameworks and methodologies
• Excel
• Java
• JavaScript
• SQL databases
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as a Helix Developer or similar role
• Strong understanding of Helix architecture, features and capabilities
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices
• Experience in performance tuning and application optimization
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements
