Data Migration Specialist

Job description

Plan, execute, and manage data migration from legacy systems to a new system architecture and integrate it into an existing data warehouse for business intelligence, analytics, and reporting. Assess client requirements and develop migration strategies, create detailed documentation, execute ETL processes, cleanse and validate data, collaborate with stakeholders for mapping specifications and business rules, monitor and troubleshoot migration processes, provide client support during transition, and stay updated on best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Proven experience as a Data Migration Specialist or similar role
• Strong understanding of data migration strategies, processes, and tools
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration platforms
• Proven experience in data migration projects, particularly involving Informatica Cloud and SQL
• Experience working with government agencies, ideally in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia
• Experience with data cleansing and validation methods
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and clients
• Ability to provide documentation and assurance of data quality and completeness
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines
