SAP ABAP Consultant

Job description

The role involves developing and customizing SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements to align with business processes. Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of existing programs. Conduct unit testing and support integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables. Document technical designs, configurations, and development efforts thoroughly. Provide production support and resolve ABAP-related issues promptly. Continuously learn new SAP enhancements and best practices for development. Participate in project planning and effort estimation as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• minimum of 3 years experience in SAP ABAP development
• strong knowledge of ABAP programming including ABAP Objects, modules and BAPIs
• experience developing reports using SAP Smart Forms, SAP Scripts and Adobe Forms
• understanding of SAP functional modules such as SD, MM and FI/CO is an advantage
• excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• good communication skills and ability to work well in collaborative teams
• SAP certification in ABAP development is a plus
