Portfolio Manager

Job description

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects, investments, or assets within the organization. The role includes strategic planning, risk management, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives to deliver maximum value. The manager collaborates with stakeholders, including senior management, to prioritize and optimize resources. • Develop and implement portfolio strategies aligned with organizational goals; • Assess and prioritize projects or investments based on returns, risks, and strategic importance; • Set measurable objectives for each portfolio component; • Continuously monitor and adjust the portfolio to maximize value; • Analyze and report portfolio performance, including returns and risks; • Implement metrics and KPIs to measure success; • Conduct quarterly performance reviews and provide improvement recommendations; • Identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio risks; • Maintain a risk register and conduct regular assessments; • Communicate performance and strategy updates to stakeholders; • Lead monthly portfolio review meetings with detailed reports; • Optimize resource allocation across the portfolio; • Track market trends and provide quarterly analysis reports; • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for portfolio management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field
• PMP certification highly preferred
• Saudi nationality required
• Proven experience in project management from inception to completion
• Proficient in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Jira
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• CFA certification highly desirable
• Additional certifications like Certified Portfolio Manager or Financial Risk Manager advantageous
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills
