Warehouse Operator

Job description

Responsible for receiving, inspecting and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents. Stores materials in designated locations according to warehouse layout and storage standards. Picks, packs and issues materials accurately according to approved requests. Performs inventory transactions in the ERP/WMS system and maintains accurate stock records. Conducts routine cycle counts and supports periodic physical inventory activities. Monitors stock levels and reports shortages, damages or discrepancies to the supervisor. Ensures proper labeling, identification and traceability of inventory. Loads and unloads deliveries using appropriate material handling equipment where authorized. Maintains warehouse cleanliness, organization and compliance with 5S standards. Follows company safety policies and uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• diploma or certification in logistics, warehousing or supply chain is an advantage
• 0 –4 years experience in warehouse, stores or inventory operations
• experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
• forklift certification is an advantage (where applicable)
• knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
• basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
• good organizational and time management skills
• strong attention to detail and accuracy
• ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• good communication and teamwork skills
