BMS & GRMS Technician

Job description

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment. Oversee AV setup in banquet and meeting rooms. Ensure equipment is operational, repair or clean as needed. Label broken equipment and inform manager. Secure loose wires and cables. Verify equipment and room setup against Banquet Event Order. Notify manager of any changes to flowsheets. Assist guests with equipment use, upsell AV services, and monitor operation. Break down and store equipment when not in use. Follow the employer Visual Productions SOP. Adhere to safety and security policies and report incidents. Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect assets. Greet guests per standards, anticipate needs, and thank them sincerely. Communicate clearly and professionally. Build positive relationships and support team goals. Meet quality assurance standards. Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 lb unaided. Visually inspect tools and equipment. Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• at least 1 year related work experience
• no supervisory experience
• no license or certification required
