Senior HSE Manager

Job description

The Senior HSE Manager at the employer leads the development and execution of health, safety, and environment strategies and programs across all projects. Establishes and enforces HSE policies and procedures in line with local and international regulations. Conducts regular audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities. Provides guidance to project teams to enhance HSE competency and awareness. Collaborates with stakeholders to promote HSE initiatives and align them with project objectives. Designs and implements training programs for staff and contractors on HSE matters. Prepares and presents HSE performance reports to management and stakeholders. Stays updated on HSE legislation, technologies, and industry trends. Fosters a safety culture through effective communication and engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
• 15+ years experience in HSE management
• NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent certifications
• strong knowledge of HSE regulations, best practices, and risk management principles
• proven experience leading safety programs and achieving regulatory compliance
• exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• ability to analyze complex data and make informed risk mitigation decisions
• fluent in English
• proficiency in Arabic is a plus
• proactive problem‑solving approach and ability to work in a dynamic environment
