Android Engineer

Job description

Your role involves developing high-performance, reliable Android applications. Design, develop, and maintain apps. Collaborate with backend and design teams to define, design, and ship new features. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and performance. Optimize code for efficiency. Troubleshoot, debug, and stay updated with latest Android trends and tools. Work with team members across disciplines to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5 years experience developing and deploying Android applications
• passion for native development
• MapLibre knowledge is a plus
• up to date with modern Android frameworks such as Kotlin and async/await
• work daily with RESTful APIs and have experience with authentication frameworks like OAuth2
• solid understanding of Android design principles and Human Interface Guidelines
• writing unit and UI tests using Mockito and others
• in-depth experience with map SDKs such as MapLibre, Apple Maps, Google Maps, ESRI or similar
• eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and development methodologies
• excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• strong communication and collaboration skills
