ICT Engineer - Aviation

Job description

the employer seeks an ICT Engineer – Aviation to design, implement, and maintain ICT systems and infrastructure. Responsibilities include assisting in design, configuration, and deployment of ICT systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align systems with company goals, installing and configuring hardware and software, managing LAN, WAN, and Wi‑Fi networks, ensuring secure connectivity via VPNs and firewalls, monitoring network performance and resolving outages, providing end‑user technical support, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions, maintaining and updating systems, managing server environments, monitoring IT assets and recommending upgrades, enforcing security protocols and conducting security audits, collaborating with engineering teams for system integration, delivering performance and security reports, and maintaining system documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in ICT systems, networking, and technical support
• experience configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• proficiency in supporting and troubleshooting hardware (PCs, servers, networking devices) and software (operating systems, business applications)
• solid knowledge of networking protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS
• hands‑on experience with network security tools, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
• proficiency in ICT management software including Active Directory, VMware, and Microsoft Exchange
• strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
• excellent communication skills with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• professional certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, MCSE or equivalent
• experience with server administration on Linux/Unix or Windows Server and cloud systems
• familiarity with ITIL framework for IT service management
• knowledge of VoIP systems and telecommunications networks
• experience with enterprise IT systems and collaboration tools like Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
