Job description

Work within the PMO on major highway and infrastructure projects in Riyadh. Serve as the primary technical advisor for design, procurement, fabrication, and erection of steel bridges. Review and approve bridge design drawings and calculations, including fabrication and shop drawings. Review and approve prequalification documents for third‑party inspection companies conducting NDT and destructive testing. Oversee steel construction operations with field visits to fabrication workshops and erection sites. Review and approve method statements, inspection and testing plans, and test results reports. Prepare cost‑benefit analyses of design options and make recommendations. Review supplier drawing submittals and perform technical bid analyses. Prepare and deliver presentations on complex steel bridge design matters. Advise senior management on steel bridge engineering issues. Perform other duties as appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Master's Degree desirable
• 15 years of solid steel bridge design/construction experience with emphasis on fabrication of all types of steel bridges
• Proficient with AASHTO‑LRFD Bridge Design and Construction specifications
• Proficient with quality control requirements for high‑quality steel bridges according to international standards including AASHTO/AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Chartered/Professional Engineer status with a recognized engineering body
• Experience in a design/supervision consultancy and/or PMC/PMO
• Experience working within a multi‑disciplined team
• Proactive approach to own activities and assisting other disciplines
• Experience managing large tasks or projects and leading technical teams
