Director - Roads, Car Parks, and Tunnels

Job description

Within a kingdom giga-project aiming to set new global standards in development and innovation, you will lead an integrated team to plan, design, and implement world‑class infrastructure supporting Vision 2030. The role oversees long‑term performance, safety, and sustainability of roads, car parks, and tunnels. Responsibilities include daily oversight of urban and arterial road networks, managing tunnel and multi‑storey car park operations, developing long‑term asset management plans, leveraging inspection data for prioritization, implementing preventive maintenance, coordinating with facilities management and contractors, defining smart parking strategies, and reviewing civil and traffic engineering designs to ensure smooth flow and pedestrian safety.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or related discipline
• Master’s degree preferred
• Professional Engineering license/registration
• Additional certifications in asset management, tunnel engineering, or transportation systems advantageous
• Minimum 20 years progressive experience in road and transport infrastructure operations, asset management or large‑scale urban mobility projects
• Hands‑on experience with tunnel operations and safety systems, multi‑storey car parks and extensive road networks in complex urban or mega‑development environments
• Proven track record managing major OPEX/CAPEX budgets, specialized contractors and technology‑intensive transport assets
• Demonstrated experience in traffic engineering, safety compliance and emergency response planning
