Join the employer to provide technical vision, engineering leadership, and governance for a world‑class GoA4 driverless rail system. Own the technical integrity across the project lifecycle—from concept and design management to procurement and integration. Key duties: serve as ultimate technical authority for all railway subsystems; lead integration of rail infrastructure with developer‑planned sectors; ensure modern automated technologies suit Saudi environmental conditions; oversee international consultants and PMOs; establish technical review gates, safety assurance (RAMS) and configuration control; identify risks and conduct value engineering; coordinate with real‑estate teams on alignment, stations and utilities; understand commercial impacts of schedule and phasing; resolve complex technical interface conflicts.

Requirements

• Minimum 20 years experience in major rail infrastructure projects
• at least 5 years in senior leadership client‑side or major project consultancy
• proven delivery of fully automated driverless rail systems (GoA4/CBTC)
• deep knowledge of rolling stock procurement, systems integration and automated depot operations
• experience in developer‑led giga‑projects or complex multi‑stakeholder real estate environments
• proficient in managing and evaluating Tier 1 international engineering consultants
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
• Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer, PMP) highly advantageous
• familiarity with regulatory, environmental and supply‑chain landscape in Saudi Arabia or GCC.
