Lifting Manager

Job description

The Lifting Manager leads all lifting operations for complex hospitality or mixed‑use projects in Riyadh, KSA. Ensures safe planning and execution of lifts through all construction phases to project close‑out. Manages preparation of lifting plans and method statements, supervises operators, riggers and signalmen, coordinates with design, site management and other trades to keep lift zones clear and secure, develops equipment inspection and selection procedures, oversees multiple site teams and subcontractors, conducts lift inspections, safety audits and quality checks, prepares progress reports for senior management and clients, enforces safety, QA/QC and document control protocols, represents the employer in client, authority and stakeholder meetings, leads multidisciplinary lift assessments and workshops, mentors and motivates construction personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in lifting operations, lifting plan development and safe systems of work
• Degree in Civil Engineering or NVQ Level 7 or related engineering field
• Deep knowledge of LOLER, PUWER and HASAWA, crane load charts, crane types, capabilities and limitations
• Strong initiative and judgment to lead large‑scale programs or multiple concurrent lifts
• Strong leadership in controlling site lift operations, lift teams and subcontractors
• Experience working with PMCM and major contractors on complex, high‑value projects
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations and quality assurance protocols
• Experience in public meetings, regulatory coordination or working with government clients
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application on projects
• Must meet the employer Project Management certification requirements when required.
