Director of Finance

Job description

The Director of Finance leads the hotel’s financial strategy and ensures alignment with property, ownership and brand objectives. Drives budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business analysis to maximize profitability and ROI. Provides strategic guidance to the General Manager and Executive Committee on financial opportunities, risks and performance trends. Oversees all accounting, reporting, audit, compliance and tax functions to ensure accuracy and transparency. Manages working capital, cash flow and financial resources in line with owner expectations and the employer standards. Identifies and implements cost‑optimization initiatives while maintaining luxury service standards. Develops and inspires a high‑performing finance team through coaching, succession planning and professional development. Builds trusted relationships with ownership representatives, corporate stakeholders and operational leaders to support informed decision‑making and long‑term growth.

Requirements

• Proven experience in finance leadership within luxury hospitality, hotels, resorts or complex service‑driven environments
• ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights and operational actions
• strong commercial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, asset management and profitability enhancement
• ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, ownership groups and cross‑functional teams
• leadership style that encourages accountability, development, transparency and high performance
• genuine appreciation for luxury hospitality and understanding of how financial strategy supports memorable guest experiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (advanced qualifications viewed favorably).
