Safety Specialist

Job description

Responsibilities: Support the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the employer's safety management system. Foster a safety‑focused culture and act as a role model. Prepare and enhance safety documentation with the unit team. Actively participate in the safety committee and related forums. Provide professional advice on safety matters. Plan and execute safety improvement projects and activities. Collaborate with customers and subcontractors. Support the development and review of emergency response plans. Monitor and develop safety risk management processes, tools and practices. Support safety‑related change management initiatives. Collect, measure and report leading and lagging safety data. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and propose actions. Conduct regular safety audits to verify compliance and identify uncontrolled risks. Analyze incidents and support investigation process improvements. Manage corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement. Develop personal safety competencies and support training and development of others. Communicate safety information, investigation outcomes and best practices proactively
