HSSE Officer

Job description

The role ensures a safe and healthy work environment. Conducts periodic safety rounds across company premises; monitors safety and hygiene conditions in plants and warehouses and reports deviations; ensures employees wear appropriate overalls and PPE; checks safe operation of machinery; maintains fire‑fighting equipment through periodic maintenance and refilling; keeps daily, weekly and monthly HSE inspection records; monitors hot works with required permits; coordinates with security guards to track visitor entry and exit; delivers safety and first‑aid training for new hires; participates in evacuation drills; ensures clear access to fire extinguishers and hose cabinets; implements fire‑preventive measures, especially in summer; monitors drainage and pest control activities; oversees roof, wall, lighting and electrical panel conditions; ensures availability of first‑aid equipment; provides first aid when needed; enforces occupational health and safety policies; raises safety awareness organization‑wide; investigates serious personal injury accidents and reports them; investigates incidents causing substantial property damage; responds to employee safety concerns; reacts immediately to fires and emergencies; coordinates hazardous waste registration and removal; trains personnel on safety testing, first aid, CPR, accident prevention, investigations and workplace inspections; assists executive staff and HSE team in emergencies; conducts operational risk assessments and designs mitigation measures; generates HSE management system reports and proposes improvements with corrective actions, required resources and implementation plans

Requirements

• Proficient in conducting periodic safety rounds
• knowledge of fire‑fighting equipment maintenance
• skilled in monitoring hot works and obtaining permits
