The role supports component, system, and vehicle level troubleshooting using standard diagnostic tools (Canalyzer/Canape) and RCA test benches. Responsibilities include root cause analysis of complex issues, line-side trials, preliminary PCBA board analysis, design intent audits, prototype builds, trials, and supporting vehicle upfits and tests in close collaboration with engineers.

Requirements

• Good functional understanding of all EV powertrain systems
• strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• experience building, testing, and troubleshooting HV battery packs, drive units, and power electronics components
• basic electrical principles knowledge
• proper handling of battery cells, modules, packs, power electronics, and drive units
• familiar with electrical hazard risks including high voltage systems
• ability to interpret schematics for power electronics components
• proficient in tools for electrical system teardown
• vehicle level troubleshooting of powertrain faults using OBD diagnostic tools
• basic machining operations and drawing reading
• exceptional written and oral communication skills in English
• ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with team lift
• High School Diploma with significant relevant experience
• preferred technical or vocational degree or certificate
• minimum of 5 years electrical, mechatronic, or automotive technician experience
• experience using vehicle and system level communication or diagnostic tools for multi-variable complex issues
• experience troubleshooting power electronics at PCBA board level
• awareness of HV battery packs, HV harnesses, onboard charging units, drive units, inverter power electronics and related system and product level troubleshooting
• prior experience in high voltage environments
