Safety Inspector

Job description

The role ensures a safe working environment across project operations. Monitor compliance with HSE policies and procedures; conduct regular safety inspections and identify hazards and unsafe practices; prepare safety inspection reports, checklists, and incident records; deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions for staff and subcontractors; ensure proper use of PPE; assist in risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses, and method statement reviews; investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions; monitor emergency preparedness and participate in drills; coordinate corrective and preventive actions with project teams; maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations and project requirements; immediately report serious safety violations to management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
• experience as a Safety Officer in construction, MEP, or engineering projects
• good knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, and workplace safety practices
• HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA are an advantage
• strong communication, observation, and reporting skills
• ability to work effectively in a site/project environment
• bilingual in Arabic and English
• immediate availability preferred
