Cost Control Section Head

Job description

Develop and implement cost control strategies and procedures to ensure effective financial management. • Monitor and analyze financial data to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved profitability. • Prepare and present financial reports, budget forecasts, and variance analysis to senior management. • Coordinate with project managers and department heads to track and control project costs. • Review and approve purchase orders, invoices and expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and budget limits • Conduct regular audits of financial records and procedures to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Train and mentor cost control staff to ensure they understand cost control processes and procedures. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost-reduction initiatives and increase efficiency. • Manage and support study changes and claims, analysis and evaluation. • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in cost control and financial analysis. • Provide guidance and support to the finance team on cost control issues. • Informs themselves of relevant quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals and procedures in place within the employer, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by the employer • Performing other duties assigned by the manager/supervisor
