A premier Saudi Arabian entertainment and hospitality company owned by the PIF. Was founded in 1997 as the nation’s first athlete representation agency, has now evolved into a global developer of iconic destinations and spectacular live experiences. The Steel Fabrication Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Steel Fabrication section in the event fabrication workshop, ensuring that scenic elements, structures, custom displays, and related furniture are fabricated efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. This hands- on role involves leading a team of steel fabricators and welders, acting as the primary link between the Production Managers/Designers and the workshop floor. Key Responsibilities 1. Team Leadership & Supervision • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing workshop team to meet tight event deadlines. • Allocate daily tasks to team members based on project schedules and skill levels. • Provide training and support to staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Run daily, short "toolbox talks" or stand-up meetings to discuss project status, safety, and goals. 2. Production & Operational Efficiency • Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. • Fabrication & Assembly: Cut, shape, weld, and perform grinding and finishing to ensure smooth, aesthetically pleasing, or paint-ready finishes for public-facing structures and steel custom structures, rigging frames, scenic elements, support structures using MIG/TIG welding, grinders, and plasma cutters. • Quality Control: Inspect and measure finished components to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards before they leave the workshop. • Material Handling: Safely operate workshop machinery (brake presses, shears, drills) and material handling equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes). • Coordination: Coordinate workshop workflow to optimize production, reducing waste and downtime. • Collaboration: Coordinate with on-site installation teams to ensure components fit together seamlessly and to update them on progress, potential delays, material issues, and sometimes lead on-site installation or load-in/out during high-pressure times. • Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery. 3. Quality Control & Safety • Enforce strict health and safety rules, including wearing PPE and maintaining the workspace. • Inspect finished products and assemblies for defects, ensuring they meet client specifications before leaving the workshop. • Identify and resolve technical fabrication issues early to prevent delays. 4. Material & Resource Management • Manage raw materials inventory and coordinate with purchasing for necessary items. • Ensure all equipment are maintained and in good working order.
