Senior Electrical Engineer

Job description

the employer is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our operations team in Riyadh. Responsibilities include designing and implementing electrical systems and infrastructure, analyzing system performance and root cause of failures, overseeing installation, testing and commissioning in compliance with Saudi and international codes, managing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, leading a team of technicians and junior engineers, developing detailed electrical documentation, conducting safety audits and enforcing protocols, collaborating with project managers to deliver capital projects on schedule and budget, monitoring and optimizing energy consumption, staying updated on industry best practices and regulations, and ensuring adherence to Saudi and international standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience as an electrical engineer
• proficiency in electrical systems design, power distribution networks, and industrial control systems
• proficiency with electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or equivalent simulation tools
• hands‑on experience with SCADA systems, PLC programming, and industrial automation technologies
• project management experience including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution
• leadership experience managing and mentoring technical teams
• in‑depth knowledge of electrical safety standards, international codes (IEC), and Saudi Arabian regulations
• excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• strong organizational abilities and multitasking capacity
• proficiency in reading and creating complex electrical drawings and specifications
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
• electrical safety certifications such as OSHA or IEC (highly desirable)
• familiarity with industrial operations in the Middle East and regional standards (preferred)
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
• flexibility and resilience to changing priorities.
