IT Support Assistant

Job description

the employer is seeking a creative and technically skilled IT Support Assistant with a graphic design background to provide IT support services and deliver high-quality graphic design solutions for digital and print media. Reporting to the IT Supervisor/Operations Manager, the role supports system, software, and documentation maintenance while creating visual content that enhances internal and external communications. Responsibilities: provide first-level hardware and software support; maintain programs, documentation, and operational procedures; design creative layouts following typography, color, imagery, and branding guidelines; produce visual assets for print and digital platforms; collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver creative solutions; support website and digital content updates as needed; troubleshoot minor hardware, software, and network issues; maintain data backups and portal administration; prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for management; assist senior IT staff with software configuration and system maintenance; handle service requests and trouble reports with minimal supervision; ensure compliance with IT policies, security procedures, and branding standards; perform other related IT and creative support duties.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or related field
• 3–5 years experience in IT support with strong graphic design background
• proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design tools
• experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint for presentation design
• basic knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, troubleshooting, and system support
• familiarity with website CMS and digital media is an advantage
• strong understanding of branding, typography, layout design, and visual communication
• excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• experience supporting engineering, technical, or corporate environments preferred.
