Planning Engineer (RC)

Job description

Join the employer as a Planning Engineer to develop and manage comprehensive schedules for infrastructure works, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery. Support planning and scheduling of own tasks, capture risks and propose mitigation, assist in scope planning and work breakdown structure creation, produce and maintain the project schedule per consultant/contractor, and coordinate with the Commercial function for budget, cost, risk, and change controls. Review schedule data for proposals or negotiations, assist in resource planning, identify schedule issues and recommend solutions, continuously improve schedule presentation and documentation, produce progress tracking reports, integrate interdisciplinary schedule requirements, identify key interfaces, and coordinate with Project Controls/Cost functions.

Requirements

• Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management, or related field
• Primavera Certification (preferred)
• recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
• 8-10 years relevant planning experience in complex design and construction programs across private or government sectors
• effective workload management and prioritization to meet tight deadlines
• strong written and verbal skills in English
• proficient use of enterprise-level management software such as P6, MS Office (Excel, Word)
• proficiency with Power BI preferred
• leverage existing relationships to develop client relationships and provide strategic input
• analytical and thorough with problem‑solving ability
• ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing business requirements
