English to French Linguist for Life Sciences

This role involves supporting global pharmaceutical, clinical research, and medical device organizations by delivering accurate, high-quality translations of specialized life sciences documentation. You will work on clinical trial, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory materials where linguistic precision and regulatory compliance are essential. You will collaborate through established translation technology platforms and follow strict project-specific quality standards.

Requirements

• Professional translation experience in life sciences or medical field
• strong command of English and French
• ability to deliver accurate work under demanding deadlines
• degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or an equivalent discipline
• or recognized graduate qualification in another field, combined with at least 2 years of full-time professional translation experience
• or at least 5 years of full-time professional translation experience
• at least 2 years of practical translation experience specifically involving life sciences, clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and medical documentation
• native-level or equivalent proficiency in French (France), with excellent English comprehension and translation skills
• familiarity with CAT tools, particularly XTM or Phrase
• experience using Microsoft Word Track Changes for translation review and editing
• strong understanding of specialized medical and life sciences terminology
• excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain linguistic accuracy and consistency across complex technical documents
• strong time-management skills and the ability to meet strict project deadlines
• willingness to complete a translation assessment as part of the onboarding and quality assurance process.
