Procurement Engineer

Job description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Procurement Engineer to assist in planning project processes and using technical knowledge of materials and supplies needed to help complete projects from start to finish by handling the technical parts of contracts and identifying required items and their suppliers. • Communicate and coordinate frequently with other departments within the organization to ensure proper delivery of items. • Study, review and divide new projects into packages to be distributed among the team. • Update the weekly progress plan report daily and compare the plan with actual data. • Follow up with the bidding department to update all bids sent to subcontractors. • Coordinate with the Planning Department regarding project updates to plan for required items. • Follow up with the purchasing department on the availability of items to be purchased and obtain recommendations on a supplier to work with. • Preparing the technical part of contracts for submission with the final draft of the contract. Requirements · Saudi engineer education · Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering credentials · Certified International Procurement and Supply Chain (CIPS) is a plus • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus · Relevant work experience · 0- 3 years of experience in procurement and on-site technical work is a plus
