Lead Quantity Surveyor

Job description

Responsible for cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control of construction projects. Ensures accurate financial forecasts, aligns with budget, maximizes value and minimizes costs. Coordinates with stakeholders to meet financial objectives and contractual obligations. Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects. Develop and manage project budgets and track expenditures. Draft, review, and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Identify and mitigate financial risks through analysis and strategic planning. Oversee procurement, select contractors and suppliers, and negotiate terms. Implement effective cost control measures and monitor expenses to prevent overruns. Generate regular financial reports for stakeholders showing budget status, variances, and forecasts. Assess and manage financial impact of project changes with proper documentation and approvals. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure financial and contractual alignment. Ensure all financial practices adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Support HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting per company and IMS policies

Requirements

• Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control techniques for construction projects
• In-depth knowledge of contract law, administration, and negotiation in the construction industry
• Strong analytical abilities to assess financial risks and generate accurate reports
• Familiarity with construction management software and cost tracking tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills
• Minimum 8 years working experience
• At least 5 years relevant experience
• 2 years GCC experience is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
