Senior BIM Structural Engineer

Job description

Develop, manage, and maintain structural BIM models using Autodesk Revit throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and review detailed structural BIM models for reinforced concrete and steel elements. Generate structural shop drawings, plans, sections, details, and documentation directly from the Revit model. Ensure structural BIM models comply with approved design drawings, specifications, project standards, and BIM requirements. Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines to identify and resolve clashes and technical conflicts. Perform BIM coordination and clash detection and follow up on issue resolution. Review and validate models submitted by BIM engineers to ensure compliance with project BIM standards. Extract quantities, schedules, and required project information from Revit models. Develop and maintain Revit families, applying proper modeling standards and parameters. Maintain model accuracy, consistency, naming conventions, worksets, levels, grids, and other BIM standards. Participate in BIM coordination meetings and communicate technical issues and required modifications to relevant teams. Coordinate with structural design, technical office, and site teams to ensure proper implementation of design requirements. Review structural drawings and models to identify discrepancies between design documents and BIM models. Prepare and update as-built BIM models based on approved site modifications and final project documentation. Support the BIM Manager/Coordinator in developing and implementing BIM execution requirements and project standards. Monitor project BIM progress and ensure timely delivery of models and drawings according to the project schedule

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience in structural BIM engineering
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit Structure with proven experience developing and managing structural BIM models
• Strong knowledge of structural BIM workflows, modeling standards, and documentation
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and structural engineering software
• Experience in RCC and steel structural modeling
• Experience in BIM coordination and clash detection
• Good understanding of structural drawings, shop drawings, and construction details
• Knowledge of Revit families, parameters, worksets, and model coordination
• Preferred experience with Navisworks for model coordination and clash detection
• Good knowledge of BIM standards, LOD, and project BIM requirements
• Ability to work independently and lead junior BIM team members
