Junior Environmental Engineer

Job description

This role is for a junior environmental engineer to be assigned to an integrated environmental team for projects within the Middle East and Europe. The company, the employer, a Setec Group, is a multidisciplinary sustainable cleantech consultancy based in the employer City, Abu Dhabi, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The local team is composed of a diverse range of experts who lead their respective fields, including environmental impact assessment, environmental baseline, strategic environmental assessment, environmental supervision, and environmental consultancy. The responsibilities include assisting the team in writing up EIAs, ESIAs, and baseline surveys reports, developing and implementing FEMPs, OEMPs, CEMPs, and DEMPs, and traveling within KSA for baseline surveys, monitoring, auditing, or meetings as required.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with both clients and consultants
• up to 4 years of demonstrated project experience in environmental compliance/assurance
• advanced proficiency in MS Office
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
• GCC experience
• excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced environment
• ability to self-manage
• strong communication skills
• proficiency in Arabic
