Aveva PI Software Engineer

Job description

Join Müller's Solutions technology team to design, develop, and maintain Aveva PI systems supporting the organization's operational and business objectives. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable data management and real-time analytics using the Aveva PI platform. Develop, configure, and maintain Aveva PI infrastructure including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework, and PI Interfaces. Implement and support data collection from various sources for accurate and timely capture. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to integrate Aveva PI solutions with existing systems. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability. Design and create analytical dashboards and reports to aid decision‑making. Provide user training and technical support for Aveva PI applications. Stay updated on Aveva PI technology advancements and recommend system improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• proven experience with Aveva PI System components (PI Data Archive, Asset Framework, Interfaces)
• strong knowledge of data collection, storage, and real-time analytics
• experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and integration
• familiarity with databases and SQL for querying and managing data
• good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
• strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and users
