Procurement Officer

Job description

Contributes to budget preparation, cost control, and expense tracking for transparency and value for money. Supports internal and external audits with accurate documentation of procurement activities. Promotes ethical procurement practices and transparency. Prepares inquiries and purchase orders based on ERP-driven manufacturing schedules. Leads negotiations for competitive pricing, delivery, and contract terms. Manages supplier qualification audits and continuous improvement. Participates in procurement strategy and budget development and maintains ERP data integrity. Documents bid evaluations and sole source justifications. Engages with suppliers to mitigate delivery risks and resolves escalated issues with technical teams. Liaises with manufacturing, quality, engineering, and design departments. Tracks supplier quality and performance metrics and manages commercial interfaces. Handles warranty claims, back‑charges, and liquidated damages. Identifies and plans for supply‑chain risks. Supports new product development as a commodities expert. Monitors market conditions to maximize leverage and minimize risk. Coordinates end‑to‑end logistics, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and local authorities. Manages inbound/outbound shipments and resolves delivery discrepancies. Optimizes logistics costs through negotiation and consolidation. Develops, negotiates, and manages long‑term outline agreements with strategic suppliers, monitoring performance and contract validity. Prepares periodic reports on logistics costs, supplier performance, and outline agreement utilization. Supports localization initiatives aligned with Vision 2030

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in procurement, technical, engineering, commercial or project environment
• proficient in commercial purchasing procedures, negotiation, and contract law
• knowledge of Saudi procurement regulations and HSSE requirements
• proficient with SAP
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management or equivalent experience
