Procurement Engineer - Mechanical

Job description

The role focuses on managing and coordinating all procurement activities for mechanical equipment and materials during shutdown and turnaround phases. This includes ensuring timely procurement, vendor management, and compliance with company standards and Saudi Aramco regulations. Responsibilities include developing and implementing procurement plans, identifying and qualifying suppliers, preparing procurement documents, monitoring procurement schedules, coordinating with project and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with company policies, managing vendor relationships, supporting budget activities and cost control, and maintaining accurate records and reports

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes
• vendor management
• contract management
• proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
• proficiency in Excel
• budgeting skills
• procurement process expertise
• at least 5 years of experience in mechanical procurement in shutdown and turnaround projects
• familiarity with Saudi Aramco's purchasing standards and procedures is preferred
• excellent negotiation and communication skills
• ability to work under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities
