Director - Technical Services - Hospitality

The Director, Technical Services leads owner‑side technical oversight of hotel developments from design through pre‑opening readiness. Works closely with hotel operators, project teams, consultants and internal stakeholders to review designs, coordinate technical aspects, approve mock‑ups, conduct site inspections, oversee testing and commissioning, manage defects, and ensure hotels are ready for operation

Requirements

• Proficient in owner‑side design and technical services oversight
• proficient in reviewing design packages, technical submissions, shop drawings and material selections
• knowledge of international hotel brand standards such as the employer, the employer, the employer, IHG, Accor, the employer, Mandarin Oriental, the employer
• experience participating in design workshops, value engineering and technical approvals
• experience conducting site inspections for construction quality and technical compliance
• experience in testing, commissioning and system validation
• proficient in snagging, defect management, warranty tracking and close‑out
• knowledge of handover documentation including as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, asset registers and technical records
• ability to identify technical, design and operational risks and implement mitigation plans
• provide technical recommendations and project updates to senior leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Architecture, Construction Management or related field
• engineering background strongly preferred
• 15+ years experience in hotel development, design and technical services, project delivery or hospitality construction
• proven experience delivering hotels through design, construction, testing, pre‑opening and handover
• experience on large‑scale hotel and mixed‑use developments.
