Safety Coordinator

Job description

the employer seeks a Safety Coordinator (Saudi National) to support the implementation and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements across assigned project areas. The coordinator will work under the direction of the HSE Manager and senior HSE Coordinators. Responsibilities include implementing the project HSE plan, conducting routine site safety inspections, identifying hazards and reporting them, and monitoring compliance with risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses, and method statements. The role ensures workers follow safe work practices, use Personal Protective Equipment, and adhere to Permit to Work requirements for high‑risk activities. It monitors work at height, excavation, lifting, hot work, confined spaces, and electrical tasks. Participation in toolbox talks, safety briefings, site inductions, and incident reporting is required. The coordinator assists in preparing daily and weekly HSE reports, supports emergency drills, and promotes a Zero Harm safety culture.

Requirements

• Saudi nationality
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
• 0-3 years of relevant HSE experience (fresh graduates with HSE background considered)
• Basic practical knowledge of construction site safety requirements
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Strong written and spoken English language skills
• Good understanding of risk assessments, method statements, and PPE
• OSHA 10 or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Computer literacy
