Business Analyst (Cloud & API-Focused)

Job description

The Business Analyst drives solution clarity for cloud applications and API ecosystems. Responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements; translating needs into structured user stories in Jira with defined acceptance criteria; collaborating with engineering on API design and integration flows; supporting solution design by understanding data flows, system dependencies, and cloud architecture; facilitating stakeholder workshops to align requirements and priorities; working with Solution Architects, development, and QA to validate requirements and ensure accurate implementation; tracking requirements and stories in Jira for full traceability; identifying risks, gaps, and dependencies early and driving mitigation; owning end-to-end User Acceptance Testing with business owners to ensure features are approved and production-ready.

Requirements

• 2–5 years experience as a Business Analyst in technology or digital transformation projects
• experience with web and mobile applications
• experience with API integrations (REST, JSON)
• experience with cloud environments (GCP, Azure)
• understanding of system integration concepts
• understanding of data flows and service interactions
• Agile delivery methodology experience
• hands‑on with Jira & Confluence
• hands‑on with API tools (e.g., Postman)
• basic SQL or data analysis skills
• ability to understand and interpret API documentation and system architecture diagrams
• strong stakeholder communication and expectation management
• ability to translate technical complexity into clear business language
• high ownership and accountability mindset
• comfortable working in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments
