Senior Fire Alarm Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Fire Alarm Engineer to review fire alarm and detection system design submissions at various stages of design and during construction. The tasks include reviewing drawings, specifications, design reports, calculations, equipment schedules, models, and other technical submissions. Additionally, the candidate will review the design and application of addressable fire alarm systems, automatic fire detection systems, smoke, heat, flame, and other specialist detection systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a closely related discipline
• minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in fire alarm and detection system design, engineering, and/or technical design review
• minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), preferably involving authority/Civil Defence submissions and approvals
• strong knowledge of NFPA 72 and other applicable fire alarm and life safety requirements
• relevant NFPA certification, such as CFPS, CFI-II, CFPE
• demonstrated experience in the technical review of fire alarm and detection systems for complex buildings and developments
• experience reviewing fire alarm interfaces with fire protection, firefighting, smoke control, and alternative fire suppression systems
• familiarity with local Civil Defence requirements and authority approval processes.
