Senior Specialist - Cloud Operations

Job description

Responsible for day‑to‑day operation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of the organization’s cloud environments. Operates, administers, monitors, and supports enterprise cloud platforms and services. Ensures availability, stability, performance, and operational readiness of cloud environments. Monitors infrastructure and proactively resolves performance, capacity, availability, and configuration issues. Provides L3 technical support for complex cloud incidents, service requests, and change requests. Performs cloud platform patching, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and lifecycle activities. Implements automation to improve efficiency and reduce repetitive manual tasks. Supports cloud security controls, identity and access management, configuration standards, backup, and disaster recovery. Participates in incident, problem, and change management with root‑cause analysis. Monitors cloud utilization and supports FinOps/cost‑optimization activities. Maintains technical documentation, operational procedures, runbooks, and SOPs. Collaborates with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Network, Application, Architecture, and DevOps teams to resolve issues and support new solutions. Supports cloud migrations, deployments, configuration changes, and integration with on‑premises infrastructure. Maintains monitoring, alerting, backup, recovery, and high‑availability capabilities. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in cloud reliability, scalability, security, and operational processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• typically 5–8 years of relevant IT/infrastructure experience, including strong hands‑on exposure to cloud operations
• hands‑on experience with one or more major platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
