the employer is an AI-native Customer Experience Intelligence platform expanding its data infrastructure. The role manages production PostgreSQL and MySQL environments across AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and in‑Kingdom hosting. Responsibilities include ensuring database health, performance optimization, backup and disaster recovery, high‑availability and safe migrations. The DBA collaborates with engineering, cloud, and reliability teams to enhance stability and scalability

Requirements

• 5-10 years experience as a Database Administrator
• 5+ years hands‑on PostgreSQL administration in production
• experience with AWS Aurora, Amazon RDS, MySQL, and self‑managed Linux databases
• knowledge of performance tuning, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery
• experience managing multi‑terabyte databases, upgrades, and migrations
• ability to automate operations using Bash or Python
• proficient in backups, point‑in‑time recovery, and failover
• troubleshoot incidents and perform root‑cause analysis
• adhere to safe change‑management practices and rollback plans
• troubleshoot slow queries, indexing, locking, and resource utilization
• deep understanding of PostgreSQL internals
• ownership and composure under pressure
• clear communication and effective collaboration with engineering teams
• documentation and continuous improvement of database reliability
