Aviation Ground Support Equipment Senior Mechanic

Job description

Acts as the lead AGSE technician under the AGSE Manager. Supervises other AGSE technicians. Assesses and repairs light‑duty trucks (gas and diesel), tractors, general grounds equipment, generators, and airport‑assigned AGSE. Also inspects, maintains and repairs Aviation Ground Power Units (AGPUs) according to applicable manuals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• experience in electrical and hydraulic systems
• five (5) years experience maintaining similar equipment
• ability to work different shifts
• ability to work unsupervised
• ability to use required tools and special equipment to accomplish tasks
• ability to work with high‑tech electro‑mechanical aircraft support equipment
• ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• ability to climb and work on maintenance platforms as required
• demonstrated performance in maintenance of gasoline and diesel vehicles, electrical auxiliary power units and hydraulic support equipment
• must work under safe conditions wearing required PPE
• ability to troubleshoot and repair
• graduate of a US Military GSE course or equivalent civilian training
• supervisory experience
• proficient in computer‑hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms and related documentation
• proficient in Microsoft Office
• professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• ability to communicate with customers professionally and courteously
• valid US driver’s license and passport
• successful completion of mandatory medical examinations
• clean criminal record as required for Saudi work visa
• pass drug test and comply with random drug and alcohol testing program.
